Face of Gulu

The face of Gulu was a programme organized and aimed at helping COVID-19 child mothers in Acholi-subregion through empowering them financially and skill wise so that they may be able to go back to school again. This was done through a talent search that was organized by Nile Media Group in partnership with Tech Rev and other organizations. Tech rev was in charge of the online voting from the design to implementation.

Community Sensitization

A tech sensitization drive was carried out with some of the service providers in the community especially the tricycle community of Gulu city, carpentry workshops and entertainment providers. This sensitization drive focused on using technology to foster growth of their businesses and promote timely, affordable availability of their services and products to the community.

Uganda Aids Commission Digital Campaign

This was an HIV/AIDS awareness programme that was organized by Uganda Aids Commission in partnership with Government of Uganda and The Aids Support Organization. Tech Rev was in charge of media coverage and carrying out the digital campaign especially through social media platform namely Facebook, twitter, WhatsApp, Instagram that saw a large number of audiences attained and the message successfully disseminated.

Cyber Security Awareness Campaign

This was a digital campaign which was conducted online especially using social media platforms namely Facebook, twitter, Instagram, WhatsApp and zoom. This campaign focused on ensuring that digital users learn how to keep safe and secure while online. Daily safety tips were shared across the social media pages of the organization that ran from Monday to Friday. This saw a large number of people learn a lot of online safety and data privacy.

Schools Digitalization Campaign

This campaign is focused on sensitizing and equipping the
learners with computer basic skills in Microsoft office packages, email communication, graphics design,
computer repair & maintenance and safe social media communication. All these activities are being carried
out in accordance with the Ministry of Education and Sports calendar in coordination with the District
Education office. A large number of learners were able to learn and put into practice the skills and knowledge acquired to solve the needs of their communities.
